is CareerNet@ITE about?
|

| CareerNet@ITE
is a web-based job placement service for ITE students and alumni to search and
apply for jobs which require ITE qualifications via the Internet. The system is
managed by ITE Career Services Centre in collaboration with JobsFactory.com, a
career management consultancy firm. |

| Who
can make use of this service?
|
Only full-time ITE students and ITE alumni can make use of this service. You
are required to register with us before you can access the service. |

| How
can I gain access to CareerNet@ITE?
|
Full-Time ITE Students
All you have to do is to login to the Student Portal at the ITE Homepage at
www.ite.edu.sg, and click heading “Career Services Centre”. If you are
accessing CareerNet@ITE for the first time, you will have to register and
create an on-line resume. Click “Register with us” and update your personal
particulars, if necessary, and submit the form. Thereafter, you will be able to
search, view and apply for jobs in the system.
ITE Graduates
Before you can register with CareerNet@ITE to look for jobs, you are required
to update your profile. Logon to ITE Homepage at www.ite.edu.sg and click the
heading "Alumni" followed by “Career Services Centre” where you may view
interesting career-related topics. At the “Career Services Centre” webpage,
click “Apply for ID & Password” link which will bring you to the “Alumni”
webpage. To register, login using your NRIC/FIN/Passport No. and Date of Birth
(DOB). Update your profile and click “Submit”. After verification, your new
UserID and Password will be emailed to you within a day. You can then login at
the ‘Alumni’ webpage and click “Find a Job” link when you will be directed to
the CareerNet@ITE webpage to search and apply for jobs online.
Under the new system, ITE alumni who are already registered with CareerNet will
not be able to login at ITE Homepage using their existing UserID and Password.
They are required to follow above procedure to update their profile for new
UserID and Password which will be emailed to you to login to the Alumni portal.
To search and apply for jobs, click “Find a Job” link.

No, this service is provided free-of-charge to all ITE students and alumni.

| What
can I do in CareerNet@ITE?
|
CareerNet@ITE allows you to :
Create & Update an on-line resume
You only need to register once. At the point of registration, you will be asked
to fill in an on-line resume. Please ensure that the information supplied is
accurate as your resume will be automatically forwarded to employers each time
you apply for a job.
View job vacancies posted by companies
You can view full-time, part-time and temporary job vacancies posted by
employers based on your search criteria eg job level, titles, functions,
industry. You will be able to view details about the job, such as the job
description and duties, salary offered, as well as the name and location of
company.
Apply for jobs on-line
If you are interested in a particular job, you can click the ‘Apply’ button
found at the ‘Job Details’ screen for that job. Once you do this, your resume
will be automatically forwarded to the employer.
Please allow the employer about 1-2 weeks to process your application. If you
are shortlisted, the employer will contact you directly to make arrangements
for you to attend an interview.
Sometimes, the employer may contact you to obtain additional information, such
as your educational transcripts and work experience.
View jobs applied
You will be able to view jobs which you have applied through the system.
